Music Production Services, Songwriter Tips, and a New Website, Oh My!

Oct 12, 2020 | 0 comments

It’s been a while since I did a big public update, so we’re overdue. Here is a quick overview of where I’m at, what I’m working on, and who can benefit. The long and short of it is this: Music is becoming my career, and you can take advantage of that while I’m still getting established and finding my role in the industry. In other words, this is your chance to get in before I hit the point that I’m synced across major networks and turning down clients left and right because I don’t have the capacity 😉 (Look, I’m focusing my energy on the future I want to see.)

Music Production Services

Let’s face it: It’s 2020. There’s a global pandemic going on. Home studio technology is improving. We are making music at home. If you are:

  • trying to express yourself as a musical artist for the sake of the art,
  • focusing on the craft without worrying about having all the latest equipment or becoming a household name,
  • a fellow singer-songwriter looking to get a track put down for your latest song…

Let’s talk.

I’ve been writing songs as long as I can remember, doing so earnestly for the past seven years, and self-distributing music for the past two. As of this summer, I started taking steps to take music from a hobby to a career. I’m investing a ton of time in learning industry-standard sound design and mixing techniques. I’m writing new music weekly and dipping my toes into understanding sync licensing, PROs, and how I can best help other artists bring their musical ideas to life with custom track production. I am living and breathing music. I’m investing in all the critical tools and software. It’s only a matter of time spent practicing before my music is broadcast quality and radio-ready (it’s already leaps and bounds from my current releases).

Songwriter Tips

While we’re at it, I’ve realized a motivation at the core of just about everything I do. That is, I want to inspire people to create: Whether musicians, painters, writers, or anybody who wants to use some form of art to express themselves, for themselves. I believe the more voices expressing themselves in this world, the better. The more people whose stories are told (and heard!), the more we learn to create a world that creates space for all of us.

To that end, I’m focusing a bit more energy on Instagram. I’m uploading content specifically for songwriters, but applicable to all, to ask provocative questions and provide insights into my own process. If you haven’t followed me there yet, now is a great time to fix that.

New Music-Centric Website

Bringing all of this together is my new personal website. I recently re-launched www.annedorko.com to reflect my focus on music. You can find information about my music production, songwriting, and composer services – as well as testimonials and an evergrowing portfolio. If you have a specific project and budget in mind, don’t be afraid to approach me with it.

Singer-songwriters: Whether you need a track written for your latest original song or sound-alike tracks for a cover, I can help you!

Media creators: If you need original jingles for your YouTube intros, Twitch transitions & alerts, or podcast theme songs, I got you covered.

You’ll find more details on how to proceed at www.annedorko.com, so if you’re interested in working together, be sure to have a look!

The future is scary, but I’m excited.

Let me know if you have any questions! My music has been self-serving until now, and I’m excited to take these steps to work with others in a professional capacity.
